Woodcliff Lake, NJ – November 18, 2022 – The HFC Phasedown under the Kigali Amendment has already begun and everyone will be affected by it in the HVACR industry. One factor that is difficult to properly calculate is the amount of reclamation gas available to the industry. In an ideal world ALL reclaimed refrigerant would be properly separated, identified and returned to a local collection point to be processed back into AHRI-700 certified product, to then be re-supplied back into the industry. Unfortunately this is not exactly the case in the field. Together, we discuss how YOUR choices in the field can impact not only the availability of HFC refrigerants for legacy systems as well as new equipment, but the price as well.
