EPA GreenChill Partnership

Launched in 2007, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s GreenChill Program is a voluntary EPA partnership program that works cooperatively with the food retail industry to reduce refrigerant emissions and decrease their impact on the ozone layer and climate change.

The GreenChill Programs work to help food retailers:

  • Transition to environmentally friendlier refrigerants
  • Lower refrigerant charge sizes
  • Eliminate refrigerant leaks
  • Implement best environmental practices
  • Adopt green refrigeration technologies*

How Hudson Can Help

Through our commitment to environmentally sustainable solutions and sustainable refrigerant management we are committed to helping supermarkets and food retailers accomplish their sustainability goals.

As supermarkets and food retailers transition systems to lower GWP refrigerants, Hudson can help assist with the recovery and conversion. We can recover your refrigerants at benchmark speeds at your job site, reducing overall downtime. Before making a system refrigerant transition Hudson can assist with preserving system charges, and optimal operating of refrigeration systems.

For nearly three decades we have ensured millions of pounds of refrigerant have been recovered and reclaimed. Our commitment to reclaiming, recertifying, and reusing refrigerants reduces waste, and greenhouse gas emissions and has reduced the impact of new refrigerant production on the environment.

Our On-Site R-Side® Refrigerant Services help reduce refrigerant leaks, recover the maximum amount of refrigerant possible and help return your systems to maximum operating performance and energy efficiency. Each of these facets of On-Site R-Side® refrigerant services are aligned with our commitment to sustainability, and help you reduce the overall impact that the refrigerant you use has on the environment.
