Woodcliff Lake, NJ – September 19, 2023 – The American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act of 2020 mandates a production and consumption phase-down of HFCs. In 2024 the next reduction occurs at 40%! In order to ensure a smooth transition, recovery of HFCs will need to increase to prevent a potential “crash” of available product and spiked cost. In addition, the reclamation process may not be feasible due a lack of refrigerant to be reclaimed.
