HUDSON TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS FORMER HONEYWELL SALES EXECUTIVE GEORGE DINSMORE AS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – April 1, 2008 – Hudson Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: HDSN), a leading refrigerant services company specializing in reclamation of refrigerants and proprietary on-site decontamination services for large comfort and process cooling systems, today announced the appointment of M. George Dinsmore to the position of Director of Business Development.  Mr. Dinsmore, 50, brings nearly 30 years of experience in the refrigerant and industrial gas industries and a strong record of professional success to Hudson Technologies.

Kevin J. Zugibe, chairman and chief executive officer, commented:  “The air conditioning and refrigeration industry is beginning to brace itself for the phase out and ultimate production ban of HCFC refrigerants that will start in 2010.  Manufacturers will become progressively limited in the number of new pounds of refrigerant that they can produce annually.  As we saw with the phase out of CFC refrigerants in the early 1990’s, we believe that the phase out of HCFCs should result in shortages of HCFCs in the not so distant future.  Hudson will serve a vital need in the industry by ensuring the availability of clean HCFC refrigerants during the phase out period and beyond.   Hudson’s position as the largest reclaimer in the U.S., as well as the leader in on-site refrigerant remediation services should allow us to capitalize on this emerging opportunity.”

Mr. Zugibe continued: “George is exactly the person we’ve been looking for to drive Hudson’s core reclamation business and to solidify and expand our relationships with those market segments with access and connections to sources of used refrigerants.  George spent the past 13 years working at senior levels at Honeywell Chemicals, one of the world’s largest refrigerant manufacturers.  For the last 8 years he served as Honeywell’s North American Sales Manager and was responsible for managing the sales of Honeywell’s refrigerant business.  In that position, George managed a group of regional sales managers whose primary focus was on the HVAC Wholesale Distributors, who are precisely the customers that can support the development and growth of Hudson’s reclamation and RefrigerantSide® Services business.  His extensive knowledge and experience in the refrigerant industry is an invaluable asset and will enhance Hudson’s credibility and reputation as the preeminent and most technologically advanced refrigerant reclaimer and service provider in the country.”

Prior to joining Honeywell, Mr. Dinsmore worked at Praxair (formerly Union Carbide Industrial Gases) for nearly 14 years.  George served as Worldwide Sales Manager for, and spearheaded the development of, Praxair’s new business of selling cryogenic air separation plants and equipment to support Praxair’s worldwide industrial gas business.  Before that he served in a variety of roles including Regional Sales Manager for the Northeastern U.S. responsible for all sales in that region.   Mr. Dinsmore holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University.
